The Magic of Widgets

Mops was standing in front of this great gathering,
holding her precious dog-eared book, when she noticed the
little man in green. This was the same little man she had
seen in the forest on the way to the pond with Jack on that
fateful day when all the magic in the world began to unfold
in their lives. The little man was comfortably sitting on a
nice mushroom and holding the golden pumpkin in his lap.
It was this same golden pumpkin that held Mops’ attention.
She paused. It was as if she had never really seen that
pumpkin before when all at once she did an unusual thing.
She closed her dog-eared book with a slap and announced
that she had decided not to read from her book at all but
would tell them a story that she felt these magical people
would best understand..
